What we do
Acid from lemon, vinegar, wine, or cleaners eats into polished marble and leaves a dull, slightly rough patch. Because the stone itself has changed, no cleaner or sealer will bring the shine back.
Timing: two to four hours for a single ring or splash area; up to a full day if etching covers a whole counter.
A quick water test and a close look tell us whether it's an etch or a stain.
Diamond pads remove the damaged layer.
We polish until the repair blends into the stone around it.
