Challenge
The Omni King Edward has been a Toronto landmark since 1903. Guests cross its Crema marble all day under bright light that shows every scuff, and none of it could close for a replacement. The hotel needed the stone restored and then kept that way.
Approach
We restored the most worn areas first. Since then, regular cleaning and sealing visits have kept up the finish, by day, evening, or overnight to suit the hotel.
Result
Several years on, the marble still looks its best and none of it has been replaced. The hotel has stayed open throughout and has had us back year after year.
Good to know
Booking regular maintenance with the first restoration costs far less than letting lobby marble wear down until it needs replacing.
