Challenge
The Residences of The Ritz-Carlton are a condo tower under a five-star brand, and the stone has to live up to it everywhere, down to the marble in the parking levels. The front-entrance granite was past refinishing, and anything new had to match the building's walls.
Approach
We worked floor by floor around residents and the building's schedule, restoring the marble wherever we could and bringing each area to the same finish. The entrance granite could not be refinished, so we cut new granite to match the original.
Result
The lobby, amenity floors, and parking levels now share one finish, and the new entrance matches the walls around it. The tower kept its original stone instead of facing a full replacement.
Good to know
Replacing only the stone that can't be saved, and working in stages, spreads the cost and keeps the building open.
