Why it matters
The Marble Refinishing Kit takes small etch marks, water rings, and dull spots out of polished marble and limestone. It works in three steps with sanding pads, finishing pads, and polishing paste, and one kit covers up to about 10 square feet. Widespread etching, deep scratches, and dullness across the whole surface need professional refinishing.
An etch is damage to the polish, so no cleaner or sealer will remove it. Used on the wrong stone or finish, a polishing product does harm: on granite it wastes time and can leave an uneven surface, and on honed marble it leaves glossy spots.
