Why it matters
Poultice Stain Remover pulls a stain back out of the stone. Spread it about a quarter inch thick, cover it for 24 hours, then let it dry for another 24 before you remove it. One jar covers up to about 2 square feet.
A stain sits inside the stone, so scrubbing and cleaners can't reach it. A poultice draws it back to the surface. It won't fix an etch, which is damage to the polish, so do the water test first: a stain turns darker when wet.
What we recommend
A poultice for oil, wine, coffee, and other stains that have soaked in
Patience: allow the full 48 hours before you judge the result
A second application only if a shadow remains once the stone is fully dry
Sealing the stone once the stain is out, so the next spill stays on the surface longer
