Why it matters
These sealers (often called impregnating or penetrating sealers) soak into stone and grout and repel water and oil, which gives you time to wipe up spills before they stain. They don't stop wine, citrus, or vinegar etching the surface. Sealing is usually the last step after honing, polishing, or deep cleaning.
Light marble, limestone, and travertine stain quickly without a sealer. A good one makes a professional restoration last longer and daily cleanup easier.
What we recommend
A sealer that soaks in, rather than a wax or acrylic coating on top
Reseal when water stops beading on the surface
Seal shower and floor grout after regrouting or a deep clean
Apply it only to clean, dry stone, never over wax or dirt
