A sealer soaks into marble, limestone, travertine, grout, and some granite so spills absorb more slowly, giving you time to wipe them up. It slows stains but doesn't stop etching from acids.

What we do
The sealer works below the surface, so it leaves no film or plastic coating. Sealing is usually the last step after cleaning or restoration.
Timing: about two to three hours for a kitchen counter; commercial floors depend on their size.
We clean the stone, or hone it if needed, so no dirt gets sealed in.
We apply the sealer evenly and wipe off what doesn't soak in.
A water-bead test shows it's working, and we note when to reseal.
